As part of our continued effort to provide stable and faster hosting to customers, commencing on the 3rd August we will be rolling out upgrades to our shared Windows hosting infrastructure. The upgrades will consist of moving server to a new clustered Windows Server 2019 setup. With it we will be rolling out the latest version of the dotnet core framework to all servers. Backwards compatibility will be a key focus. Where possible we will take all steps to ensure websites will continue to work on the new servers. Customers will not need to update DNS or perform any other action for the migration. Existing database connector versions, PHP versions and ASP.NET versions will remain the same to ensure backwards compatibility.
Please note that some older applications may experience dependency failures due to changes in the Microsoft Kernel. Please consult your application developer to ensure that custom built libraries are updated accordingly. We will endeavour to provide support for any compatibility issues where possible.
